Drs. Jeremiah and Kristin Joseph

At Joseph Family Chiropractic, we have four amazing chiropractors...Drs. Jeremiah and Kristin Joseph, Dr. Lisa Michel and Dr. Chase Fifarek. Our team is devoted to offering the best form of wellness healthcare available to Englewood, North Port, Venice, Port Charlotte and surrounding areas.  The doctors always look for the most natural approach to taking care of you and your family's health. While many professions are concerned with changing the environment to suit the weakened body, our office is concerned with strengthening the body to suit the environment. We look for and most often times discover the root CAUSE of the problem. We do not treat symptoms...but the cause of what ails you. Our office provides a warm and comforting family atmosphere where our team does all they can to make you feel right at home. On each visit, our team provides education to all patients about their health and how to achieve optimal wellness.

Our goal is to optimize your body's own God given potential to heal, and keep itself healthy and well, without the use of drugs or surgery. Dr. Jeremiah Joseph has multiple degrees in addition to his Diplomat in Neurology. Dr. Kristin Joseph, along with having multiple degrees, has also obtained a Fellowship in Pediatrics. Our practice members' (patients) ages range from newborn to 100 years old. Pregnant women also frequent our office! Our office hours are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday 7:30 am to 10:00 am and 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm, and Wednesday from 3:00 pm to 6:00pm.

Drs. Jeremiah and  Kristin have always had a passion for facilitating optimal health through natural non-invasive healthcare that emphasizes illness prevention. They have pursued chiropractic to restore health and increase the quality of life of their community.

Our doctors genuinely care for each and every practice member. They love to see practice members free of pains and limitations that have held them back.  The doctors strive to educate practice members so they may stay healthy and live a full life through regular chiropractic care. The doctors truly love practicing chiropractic and teaching their practice members about true chiropractic and understanding that getting their spine checked regularly is monumental if health is a priority.

Dr. Jeremiah moved to the Englewood area at the age of 12 from Kingston, New York. He was introduced to chiropractic at an early age and had such amazing results that he decided to pursue chiropractic as his profession. He received his Doctorate of Chiropractic degree from Logan College of Chiropractic in St. Louis, Missouri. Dr. Jeremiah uses his strong biological science background from Stetson University to encourage natural methods of achieving and maintaining overall health and wellness to his practice members. 

As a board certified Chiropractic Neurologist, Dr. Jeremiah Joseph takes pride in teaching practice members how chiropractic relates to brain and nerve function.

Dr. Kristin moved to South Daytona Beach from Syracuse, New York at the age of 4. She received her Bachelor of Science from the University of North Florida in Jacksonville. She then went on to attend Logan College of Chiropractic, where she received her Doctorate of Chiropractic.

Dr. Kristin has spent over 120 hours in post-graduate courses to educate her further on the care of pregnant women and pediatric patients. Dr. Kristin understands that pregnancy is an important time in a woman's life, and the need for a fully functioning body is crucial to her and her developing baby's health, as well as a labor and delivery with no complications. In fact, Dr. Kristin is a Fellow of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (FICPA) and is also certified in the Webster’s In-Uterine Restraint Technique, a specific chiropractic analysis and adjustment that is specifically for pregnant women with a breech presentation

Drs. Jeremiah and Kristin are committed to helping families in their community experience improved health and vitality. They speak regularly to local churches, businesses and organizations on health, wellness, and safety topics. The doctors' mission is to empower and radically transform the lives of as many people as possible.  They want practice members to experience their optimal health potential through chiropractic care so that they may lead healthier and more energetic lives.

The adjusting techniques used by the doctors are modified to fit each patient; from sleeping newborns, to squirmy toddlers, to on-the-go teenagers and parents, to loving grandparents. Drs. Jeremiah and Kristin care for each of their practice members as they do their own family, who you will see in the office regularly getting their "Power Turned On". By combining specific chiropractic adjusting techniques with fundamental health information, Drs. Jeremiah and Kristin are able to help you accelerate and/or maintain your journey to good health.

Dr. Lisa Michel 

Dr. Lisa Michel moved to the Englewood area from the Atlanta, Georgia area. She has benefitted from chiropractic care for nearly her entire life as her father and brother are also chiropractors. She has a Bachelor of Art from Kennesaw State University. Her Bachelor of Science in Biology and Doctorate of Chiropractic are from Life University in Marietta, Georgia.

Growing up in a chiropractic family, Dr. Lisa knows first-hand the difference the chiropractic lifestyle makes. Living a healthy and happy life is possible through natural methods as God intended.  Health is a combination of five components: 1) a healthy nervous system, 2) nutrition, 3) exercise, 4) rest and relaxation and 5) spiritual life/positive mental mindset.

Dr. Lisa is also passionate about teaching the public about the risk of vaccinations. She has grown up without them and continues to have her immune system functioning at 100% through chiropractic adjustments rather than being injected with the dangerous ingredients in vaccinations.

Dr. Chase Fifarek

Dr. Chase Fifarek grew up with a family of five in Haslett, Michigan.  After completion of his Bachelor's of Science degree from Michigan State University he pursued his dream of helping people by attending chiropractic school.  There he developed a passion for Chiropractic along with lab analysis, and nutrition. 

After completion of his Doctorate of Chiropractic, Dr. Chase and his wife moved to the Englewood area where they are near family and excited to enjoy the new climate!  Dr. and Mrs. Fifarek look forward to being active in the community and promoting health and wellness throughout.

Jessica Grennell

Hi! My name is Jessica Grennell. I come from a large family of 9 kids (2 brothers and 6 sisters). Coming from a big family helps me appreciate the small things in life, such as how valuable time spent with family and friends is. My family and I grew up in church, and I personally have come to know the Lord and have a relationship with Him. God and my family are the two most important things in my life.

The third most important thing to me is Chiropractic! I have finished schooling and am the Certified Chiropractic Physicians Assistant here at Joseph Family Chiropractic, and am fortunate to be able to say that I love my job! It is an exciting, motivating and encouraging place to work. The Doctors and my co-workers are constantly doing everything to uplift and encourage me, and I for them. We are a team that works together to help make our office the best for you! My goal is to one day see all the residents of Englewood and the surrounding areas under "The Right" Chiropractic Care.

Heather Armstrong

My name is Heather Armstrong. I was born and raised in Nebraska. I left Nebraska in 2000 and moved with the Navy which gave me the opportunity to see many different places like Puerto Rico, Virginia, Texas and now Florida. All of the places that I have lived have had one thing in common... the ocean! I love the beach and the outdoor opportunities that accompany living close to the beach. I am the mother of 3 wonderful children (a daughter and twin boy's). When I get a chance to slow down, my children and I love to go swimming and looking for sharks teeth. I was led to Joseph Family Chiropractic by the grace of God, and love working with the fabulous staff and serving the community.

Susan Kurfees

My relationship with Christ has been the driving force in my life since my earliest rememberances. I accepted Him as my Savior at the age of 6 due to the strong influence of my family and church. My goals and life choices have been based on His calling on my life. As my walk with Him grows deeper, I never want to be satisfied with "where I am", but want to continue to know Him more.

From an early age, I was interested in music and eventually obrained my Bachelor's in Music Education from Howard Payne University in Brownwood, Tx. After graduating, I served as a teacher and musician in my church, worked as the office manager of a mortgage company, and was the assistant administrator of a long-term care facility in Texas. After marrying and serving as a pastor's wife and worship leader, I returned to school in North Carolina and completed 2 master's degrees (Music and School Administration) from Southeastern Seminary and began a third at Liberty Seminary in Virginia. I was asked to join the faculty at Southeastern as an adjunct professor of music, where I lectured for 7 semesters. After moving to beautiful Southwest Florida, I decided to audit a business administration degree and lifed it so much that I continued on to audit an MBA.

I came to work at Joseph Family Chiropractic while doing music for 2 churches in Englewood. When not in the business office at JFC, you may find me in my current role as Worship Leader at First Baptist of Englewood. My business background and education, along with my Christian walk, have uniquely equipped me to serve the JFC staff and family. I love working with people, meeting needs, navigating insurance and financial questions, and exhorting others. The people associated with JFC enhance my life as I try to encourage them.

Sarah Ballard-Richardson

After graduating from Lemon Bay High School with honors and administrative commendations, I went on to complete my bachelor of science degree in Special Education. For four years I taught and served in the Sarasota County School system with specialities in Severe Emotional and Behavior Disorders as well as Specific Learning Disabilities.

After starting a family I realized that God had a higher calling for me to be home with my children.   So I started my own business with a highly reputable swiss company and was an Independent Consultant and Area Manager with them for over seven years. It was such a blessing to be able to work from home and still be there for my children.  As they have grown and started school, I realized that there were gifts inside of me that God wanted me to share with even MORE people...and He led me to Joseph Family Chiropractic!  The education I have received here has helped me incredibly on my personal journey to optimal wellness, and this is just the beginning. 

I have never been around a group that is as talented, encouraging, and God-centered as the staff of JFC.  And the practice members enhance my life in ways I never imagined!   I am over-the-top excited about the opportunities we have to change our community together!
